Several common types of well drilling machines:     


Percussion drilling machine is used to send the percussion bit to the well position with a steel wire rope, and the power unit drives the percussion mechanism and drives the wire rope and bit up and down to break the rock and soil and drill. This is an old drilling method with simple equipment and low cost, but drilling and ballast must be done alternately, so the drilling speed is slow.

The rotary drilling machine is powered by a turntable, which drives the drill pipe and drill bit to rotate together to cut and grind the rock and soil, and the borehole deepens as the drill pipe lengthens, and the rock chips are brought to the ground with the circulating mud. It is faster than percussion drilling machine and easier to deal with well collapse.

The composite drilling machine is connected with a rotary drilling tool on the drill bit, and the circulating liquid or gas is used to push the shaft of the rotary drilling tool, so that the drill bit can break the rock with both impact and rotation at the same time and drill in.
