What is a drill feed?

Drilling to obtain a value of length in meters as a unit of measure. The length of drilling in one operating shift (8 hours) is called shift feed, in addition to daily feed, monthly feed, annual feed, etc.; the total depth drilled by one drill is called drill feed, which is an indicator of the workload of drilling or drilling, and is a basic item in drilling planning, statistics, accounting and quotas.


It is the main indicator reflecting the progress of extracting or drilling work. The amount of footage can be calculated separately for each work cycle, day and night, month, quarter and year.
